EPA Exempts Glyphosate Oxidoreductase and Genetic Material from Tolerance Requirements for Raw Agricultural Commodities
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of glyphosate oxidoreductase (GOX) and the genetic material necessary for its production in all plants, used as plant-pesticides in or on all raw agricultural commodities (RACs). This exemption, submitted by Monsanto Company, eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of this plant-pesticide in or on all RACS, effective October 8, 1997.
