USDA Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Timber Sales and Associated Activities in Kootenai National Forest, Montana

The USDA Forest Service plans to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to assess the environmental effects of timber harvest, prescribed fire, and road construction in the Pinkham Creek drainage of the Kootenai National Forest, Montana, with the goal of achieving sustainable conditions and reducing the risk of wildlife conflicts in an urban/wildland interface area.
