Environmental Impact Statement for Fort Greely and Fort Wainwright Maneuver Areas in Alaska

The US Army and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the renewal of land withdrawal from public use for the Fort Greely Maneuver Area and Air Drop Zone, and Fort Wainwright Maneuver Area in Alaska, due by November 6, 1998. This follows the requirements of the Military Lands Withdrawal Act, enacted in 1986.
