BLM Establishes New Rules for Carrizo Plain Natural Area in California

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is establishing new rules for the Carrizo Plain Natural Area (CPNA) in California, effective immediately, to enhance public safety and reduce conflicts between recreational users. The rules prohibit firearms discharge within a quarter-mile radius of campgrounds, administrative facilities, and developed overlooks, with some exemptions for law enforcement officers.
