NOAA Issues Temporary Rule to Protect Tortugas Bank Coral from Large Vessel Anchoring

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a temporary rule to prohibit anchoring by vessels 50 meters or longer in length on the Tortugas Bank within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, in order to prevent damage to the living coral on the bank.
