EPA Extends Deadline for Review of Section 126 Petitions from Eight States

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extended the deadline for finalizing its response to petitions submitted by eight states, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont, to determine if sources upwind of these states contribute to nonattainment problems in those states. The EPA is now giving itself an additional month to make this determination.
