Determination of Excess Petroleum Violation Escrow Funds for Fiscal Year 1998

The U.S. Department of Energy has determined that $20,610,767 of excess oil overcharge funds held in escrow for fiscal year 1998 will be made available to state governments for energy conservation programs. The funds were required by the Petroleum Overcharge Distribution and Restitution Act of 1986.
