Belgium Added to BSE-Infected Countries List, Import Restrictions Imposed

The US government has amended regulations to include Belgium in the list of countries where bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) has been detected, resulting in restrictions on importing ruminants and certain animal products from the country to reduce the risk of BSE introduction.
