Time-Limited Pesticide Tolerance for Cryolite and Synthetic Cryolite on Potatoes and Potato Waste

The U.S. government has established a temporary permit allowing small amounts of the insecticides cryolite and synthetic cryolite to remain on potatoes and potato waste, pending a full review of their safety under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. This permit is set to expire on November 21, 2001, after being requested by The Cryolite Task Force under the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996.
