DEA Proposes Scheduling of Sibutramine as Schedule IV Controlled Substance

The US Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has proposed adding the weight loss medication sibutramine to Schedule IV of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), following a recommendation from the Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and an evaluation of relevant data by the DEA.
