US Revokes 1924 Land Withdrawal Order for National Forest System Lands and Public Lands
The US government has revoked a 1924 order withdrawing 16,285 acres of National Forest System lands and 20 acres of public lands for the Bureau of Land Management's Powersite Classification No. 78, citing that the lands are no longer needed for their original purpose. The revoked order will not affect the existing restrictions on surface entry and mining, while allowing for mineral leasing on some of the affected lands.
