NMFS Issues Final Rule for Groundfish Fisheries in Gulf of Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a final rule to implement Amendment 49 to the Fishery Management Plan for Groundfish of the Gulf of Alaska, requiring vessels to retain certain fish species and meet minimum utilization standards for at-sea processors, effective January 1, 1998, and January 1, 2003, respectively.
