The Netherlands Added to BSE-Infected Countries List, Import Restrictions Imposed

The US has adopted a final rule to add The Netherlands to its list of countries with bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), following the detection of the disease in a Dutch cow, and to restrict the importation of certain animal products from the country to reduce the risk of BSE introduction.
