EPA Approves Illinois' State Plan for Municipal Waste Combustors
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve Illinois' state plan for implementing and enforcing emissions guidelines for existing municipal waste combustors with a capacity to burn more than 250 tons of municipal solid waste per day. The plan was submitted on June 23, 1997, and the EPA anticipates no adverse comments, but invites public input.
