NRC Publishes Draft Environmental Assessment for Southern Nuclear's Proposed License Amendments

The NRC has released a draft environmental assessment for Southern Nuclear's request to increase the maximum thermal power at its Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant from 2558 MWt to 2763 MWt, a 8% boost, following a previous 5% power uprate in 1996.
