Raytheon Aircraft Company Proposes Airworthiness Directive for Certain Models 1900, 1900C, and 1900D Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a new airworthiness directive (AD) that would require Raytheon Aircraft Company Models 1900, 1900C, and 1900D airplanes to have a placard restricting the use of the forward and aft vent blower assemblies and incorporate a modification to replace the bearings with improved design bearings and provide thermal protection, in order to prevent smoke from entering the airplane cabin due to seized bearings.
