SBA Terminates Nonmanufacturer Rule Class Waiver for Certain Medical Equipment Manufacturing

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has ended a class waiver allowing small businesses to manufacture certain medical equipment, including CT scanners and X-ray apparatus, without adhering to the Nonmanufacturer Rule (NMR). This change means small businesses will no longer be exempt from the NMR unless they receive an individual waiver from a Federal contracting officer.
