Request for Comments on Interim Guidelines for Examination of Patent Applications Under the 35 U.S.C. 112 para. 1 ``Written Description'' Requirement; Extension of Comment Period and Notice of Hearing

The Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) will hold public hearings, and it requests comments, on issues relating to the ``written description'' requirement under 35 U.S.C. 112 para. 1. Interested members of the public are invited to testify at public hearings and to present written comments on any of the topics outlined in the supplementary information section of this notice.
