PTO Delays Patent Fee Effective Date to October 10, 1998

The Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) has delayed the effective date of its final rule revising patent fees for fiscal year 1999 until October 10, 1998, due to a continuing resolution appropriations bill passed by Congress and signed by the President, which maintains patent fees at their September 1998 rates through October 9, 1998.
