Ethicon, Inc. Files Petition to Amend Color Additive Regulations for Sutures

Ethicon, Inc. has submitted a petition to the FDA to update regulations allowing the safe use of a specific copper-based colorant in non-absorbable sutures used in general and eye surgery, made from a blend of poly(vinylidene fluoride) and poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene).
