FDA Amends Biologics Regulations to Reduce Burden on Biological Products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is revising its biologics regulations to exempt cellular therapy products from the general safety test (GST) and to establish an administrative procedure for obtaining exemptions from GST requirements for other biological products, aiming to reduce unnecessary regulations while maintaining public health protection.
