FDA Approves New Antioxidant for Can End Cements Used in Food Contact Applications

The FDA is amending its regulations to allow the safe use of a new antioxidant, 1,11-(3,6,9-trioxaundecyl)bis-3-(dodecylthio)propionate, in can end cements that come into contact with food, following a petition from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
