FDA Withdraws Food Additive Petition for Polyvinyl Chloride Gloves

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has withdrawn a petition to amend food additive regulations to allow the use of 2,4,4'-trichloro-2-hydroxydiphenyl ether as an antimicrobial agent in food-contact polyvinyl chloride gloves.
