FDA Amends Irradiation Labeling Regulations

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is updating its labeling requirements for foods treated with irradiation, following the enactment of the FDA Modernization Act of 1997, to clarify its regulations and address radiation disclosure statements on food labels, effective August 17, 1998.
