FDA Requests Comments on Allergenic Patch Test Kits for Type IV Allergy Diagnosis

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking public input on the use of allergenic patch test kits for diagnosing Type IV allergies, following a recommendation from the House Report accompanying the Food and Drug Administration Modernization Act of 1997 (FDAMA). The FDA aims to gather data on these products in collaboration with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), medical experts, and manufacturers.
