FDA Approves Formaldehyde as Animal Feed Additive

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its regulations to permit the use of formaldehyde in animal feed and drinking water, allowing it to be used as an antimicrobial additive to maintain feed quality and prevent Salmonella contamination for up to 21 days.
