FDA Permits Polydextrose Production with New Catalytic Process

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its food additive regulations to allow the direct addition of polydextrose to food products, following a petition from Cultor Food Science, Inc. The change is based on the adoption of specifications from the Food Chemicals Codex, 4th edition, 1996.
