IRS Issues Temporary Regulations on Income Tax Convention Benefits

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has published temporary regulations regarding rules for determining eligibility for treaty-reduced tax rates on U.S. source payments to entities, including those transparent in the US and/or treaty jurisdictions. A public hearing on the proposed regulations is also scheduled.
