IRS Issues Final Regulations on Foreign Tax Withholding and Reporting

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released final regulations on the withholding of income tax on certain U.S. source income paid to foreign persons, as well as related reporting and collection requirements. The new rules also remove temporary employment tax regulations and finalize changes to existing regulations under the Income Tax Treaties.
