ATF Proposes Establishment of San Francisco Bay Viticultural Area and Realignment of Central Coast Viticultural Area Boundaries

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has submitted a petition to establish a viticultural area in California's San Francisco Bay region, which would include five counties and nearly 6,000 acres of grape plantations, and also proposes to expand the Central Coast viticultural area to include the new area, adding 3,027 acres and 21 wineries.
