Interim Rules for Health Insurance Portability for Group Health Plans

The Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Labor, and Department of the Treasury have released interim rules governing access, portability, and renewability requirements for group health plans and health insurance issuers. Interested parties can submit comments on the rules, which were enacted to provide timely guidance for compliance with the recently enacted HIPAA requirements.
