Self-Rescue Devices; Use and Location Requirements

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is requesting comments on a change to a proposed policy letter (PPL) relating to the approval guidelines for storage plans for Self-Contained Self-Rescue (SCSR) Devices in underground coal mines. MSHA is publishing this notice to voluntarily afford an opportunity for interested persons to comment on the PPL before its anticipated issuance and effective date.
