Small Business Size Standards; Engineering Services, Architectural Services, and Surveying and Mapping Services

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is proposing a size standard of $7.5 million in average annual receipts for general Engineering Services (part of Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 8711), $5.0 million for Architectural Services (SIC code 8712) and $3.5 million for Surveying and Mapping Services (SIC code 8713 and part of SIC code 7389). The current size standard for each of these industries is $2.5 million. The proposed revisions are being made to better define the size of business in those industries that the SBA believes should be eligible for Federal small business assistance programs.
