NMFS Opens Directed Fishing for Pacific Cod in Gulf of Alaska
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is allowing vessels using pot gear to catch Pacific cod in the Gulf of Alaska, as part of efforts to prevent underharvesting and utilize the full catch allowance for the 2026 season.
