EPA Disapproves Kentucky's Request to Redesignate Ozone Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has rejected the Kentucky Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet's proposal to redesignate the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky moderate ozone nonattainment area to attainment, citing a violation of the ozone national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS).
