EPA Approves Colorado's State Implementation Plan for Telluride's Air Quality
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed to approve Colorado's State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions for Telluride, which includes new street sanding requirements to demonstrate maintenance of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to a nominal 10 micrometers (PM 10). The plan satisfies Colorado's commitment to adopt additional control measures in Telluride, which was made in 1994 and is now being finalized.
