FHWA Announces Final Report and Recommendations for Uniform HazMat Transportation Procedures

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has released the final report and recommendations of the Alliance for Uniform HazMat Transportation Procedures, which outlines uniform forms and procedures for registering persons transporting hazardous materials by motor vehicle, in compliance with the Hazardous Materials Transportation Uniform Safety Act of 1990 (HMTUSA). The report was made available online on July 9, 1996, following a public comment period, and provides guidance on implementing the required uniform procedures.
