U.S. Rescinds Fishing Regulations to Align with New Atlantic Fishing Proclamation
The U.S. has repealed regulations under the Magnuson-Stevens Act that restricted commercial fishing in the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument, in line with the Presidential Proclamation allowing commercial fishing in the Atlantic, issued on February 6, 2026.
