US Department of Transportation Delegates Authority to US Coast Guard

The US Secretary of Transportation is transferring responsibility for regulating commercial fishing vessels to the US Coast Guard, allowing the Coast Guard to oversee safety standards, equipment, and certification, as well as enforcement of prohibited acts and penalties for unsafe operations.
