EPA Region 6 Proposes Deletion of 7 Components from Geneva Industries Superfund Site on National Priorities List

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 is seeking public comments on a proposal to remove the first seven components of the Geneva Industries Superfund Site from the National Priorities List (NPL), a list of contaminated sites prioritized for cleanup under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). The proposal is part of a larger effort to update the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP) and align with the EPA's policy of partial deletion of sites listed on the NPL, as announced in 1995.
