FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for Shorts Model SD3-60 and SD3-SHERPA Series Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an airworthiness directive requiring inspections and repairs for cracks and corrosion on the gland nut of main landing gear shock absorbers on certain Shorts Model SD3-60 and SD3-SHERPA series airplanes, following a report of a gear collapse due to stress corrosion.
