Amendment to Class E Airspace, Knob Noster, MO

This action amends the Class E airspace area at Whiteman AFB, Knob Noster, MO. A review of military instrument approach procedures found that there is not sufficient Class E airspace and requires an increase of 0.5 mile extension to the north in order to protect the point at which arrivals leave 1,000 feet AGL. The effect of this rule is to provide additional controlled airspace for aircraft executing the SIAPs at Whiteman AFB.
