US FAA Proposes Establishment of Class E2 Airspace at Sawyer Airport, MI, to Support AWOS/SWARS Installation

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed the establishment of Class E2 airspace at Sawyer Airport in Gwinn, Michigan, to accommodate the installation of an Automated Weather Observation System/Surface Weather and Reporting System (AWOS/SWARS) for runway 01/19 approach, aiming to segregate aircraft using instrument approach procedures from those operating in visual weather conditions.
