HOAC Austria Model DV-20 Katana Airplanes to Receive Airworthiness Directive Amendment

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) requiring HOAC Austria Model DV-20 Katana airplane owners to replace the muffler, install a heat shield, and adjust the airplane's weight and balance to prevent potential heat damage to the electrical system and engine controls due to cracks in the welding joint connecting the exhaust system endpipe and muffler.
