EASA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Aerospatiale ATR72 Series Airplanes

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a new airworthiness directive requiring modification of the pitch uncoupling mechanism of both elevators on certain Aerospatiale Model ATR72 series airplanes to address fatigue cracking issues, which could lead to reduced airplane controllability.
