Powder River Federal Coal Production Region, WY; Coal Lease Application

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) received two competitive coal lease applications from Powder River Coal Company and Kerr-McGee Coal Corporation for approximately 4,020 and 4,000 acres of coal reserves in Wyoming, respectively, and recommended both for processing after a public scoping meeting.
