Harmonization With the United Nations Recommendations, International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, and International Civil Aviation Organization's Technical Instructions

The U.S. Department of Transportation has updated the Hazardous Materials Regulations to align with the most recent amendments to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code and the International Civil Aviation Organization's Technical Instructions. This change is necessary to facilitate the continued transport of hazardous materials in international commerce by vessel and aircraft when these international regulations become effective.
