FAR Rule Amends Contractor Identification System to Use Data Universal Numbering System

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed to an interim rule that replaces the Contractor Establishment Code with the Data Universal Numbering System as the primary means of identifying contractors in the Federal Procurement Data System, effective immediately.
