FDA Approves VISX Excimer Laser System for Phototherapeutic Keratectomy

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted premarket approval for VISX, Inc.'s Excimer Laser System (Models B and C) for use in phototherapeutic keratectomy procedures, following a recommendation from the Ophthalmic Devices Panel.
