Union Pacific Railroad Company to Address Environmental Impacts of Merger with Southern Pacific Transportation Company

The Surface Transportation Board's Section of Environmental Analysis will hold a public meeting to discuss its Wichita Mitigation Study, which aims to mitigate the environmental impacts of increased railroad traffic on Union Pacific's right-of-way in Sedgwick County, Kansas, following the merger between Union Pacific and Southern Pacific Transportation Company, scheduled to take place on January 28, 1997.
